Bithenergy Installs 1st Ev Charging Station in Sussex County

Bithenergy, Inc., a leading provider of innovative energy engineering solutions, has recently installed a new GE Blink electric vehicle charging station for Chimes International in Delaware. Chimes, a leading provider of services and support for people with disabilities, has announced that an electric vehicle charging station has been installed and is now open to the public on the site of Chimes Delaware’s newly constructed Irvin and Phyllis Levin Center in Millsboro. This is the first unit at a Delaware public building and to Chimes’ knowledge, the first EV charging station in all of Sussex County.

Chimes added the EV system as a way to reduce their dependance on foreign oil and reduce their carbon footprint. This system was chosen because it was a simple install that allows the property to quickly reduce fossil fuel usage. The project is part of an ongoing relationship with Chimes – BITHENERGY has also installed five solar PV system installations for Chimes, approximately 1MW total capacity. Phase II (2.4MW Ground Mount System) will break ground Q4, 2012 delivering Chimes International 3,300 MWhrs of power annually. After the completion of Phase III, Chimes International will offset 95% of its energy consumption with green solar power.

Robert L. Wallace, CEO of BITHENERGY remarked, “We are excited about yet another ‘Green’ project for Chimes International. Their commitment to energy-efficient and green, renewable projects is apparent by the continued support and forward thinking of their leadership.”
