BITHENERGY, Inc. of Baltimore, Maryland is listed 49 out of 400 Top Solar Contractors, according to Solar Power World.
(BUSINESS WIRE) – BITHENERGY, Inc., a leading provider of innovative energy engineering solutions, has been ranked 49 out of 400 Top Solar Contractors in 2014.
Solar Power World, the industry’s primary source for technology, development and installation news, presents the 2014 Top 400 Solar Contractors list. The list ranks applicants according to their influence in the solar market in 2013.
The list details the location of a company, how many people it employs, its primary market (utility, residential or commercial), as well as its primary service (EPC, developer, rooftop installation, construction, thermal systems, non-profit, off-grid projects or electrical).
Ranks are determined by the number of megawatts a company installed in 2013. In some cases, companies reported megawatts for which they were a sub-contractor. If two companies reported the same 2013 numbers, they were sorted by total megawatts installed.
Chief Executive Officer Robert L. Wallace stated, “Our selection as one of the top 400 Solar Contractors in the United States reflects the company’s growing influence in the solar and energy industry over the last seven years. We are passionate about developing innovative energy solutions for a wide range of clients, not only to reduce energy costs but also to do our part in conserving precious resources.” He goes on to add, “Our expertise in solar energy projects includes building facilities on rooftops, flat open grounds, sloped grounds, brownfields, and covered landfills. To date, BITHENERGY is the only energy company in Maryland that has successfully designed, built, and established a bilateral settlement approach to energy sourcing and energy accounting, which means that we can offer a broader array of clients the benefit of using solar energy without having to build the physical plant on their property.”
As further evidence of the company’s growing prominence in the energy industry, BITHENERGY was recently awarded an energy contract that will support a $7 billion renewable and alternative energy power production initiative for the Department of Army.
