Bithenergy Attends WH Roundtable on Renewable Energy

Bithenergy, Inc., a leading provider of innovative energy engineering solutions, was invited to Cambridge International for a White House Roundtable discussion on efforts to green the economy and focus on business effort on renewable energy. Robert Wallace, president & CEO of BITHGROUP Technologies, Inc., BITHENERGY,  Inc., and Entreteach.com was pleased to accept the invitation to attend.

“This is a really hot topic, and an important one,” says Robert Wallace. “America has remained too dependent on fossil fuels for too long. Because it was so plentiful when I was growing up, we never even thought that it could be a finite resource. Recent strained relations between OPEC countries and the US has shown us where our greatest vulnerability lies, and we must fix these vulnerabilities so we can remain, as I believe we are, the strongest nation in the world.” Some of the major opportunities and challenges proposed by the group included how to fund investments into renewable energy technology for end users, how to simplify the process for obtaining grants and funding, how to create an inter-agency discussion, and how to implement training programs to create a knowledgeable workforce.

Mr. Wallace holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Business Administration from Dartmouth College, and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Sojourner Douglas College. He has worked for such corporate giants as IBM, DuPont, Procter & Gamble, and Westinghouse. He has served on the transition teams for Maryland Governors Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. and Martin O’Malley.

Mr. Wallace has a deep commitment to furthering the goal of affordable, sustainable renewable energy for everyone. His first company, BITHGROUP Technologies, Inc., has performed IT software/hardware contracts in support of government sustainability initiatives. Another of his companies, BITHENERGY, Inc., last year completed an ambitious solar energy facility for the Baltimore nonprofit  Chimes, Inc. Currently BITHGROUP is looking at a number of initiatives aimed at increasing availability of renewable energy by developing an integrated HRES solution at its most basic, the system can support a significant part of a typical inner city rowhome’s energy needs, freeing up income and bettering the life of those living in it.
